Shallow Fried Mushroom
This crispy tasty mushroom dish can be served with dal and rice.
Ingredients
- 7-8 Mushrooms
- Salt
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- ¼ cup Sooji/Semolina
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Wash clean and cut the mushrooms into 2 halves.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt to the mushrooms.
- Mix it well, you can add 1 tsp water to the mushrooms, if mushrooms are too dry. Keep them marinated only for 2-3 minutes.
- Roll each piece of mushroom in semolina.
- Take a pan, add oil and place pieces of mushroom on the pan.
- Let it cook on one side and then flip it on other side
- Keep the flame on medium high.
- Cook each side of mushroom for 2-3 minutes.
- Once both sides are fried, make the flame high for just 1 minute to make it more crunchy.

Notes
You can add rice flour to semolina.
Do not marinate mushrooms for more than 2-3 minutes as they will become more soggy.
You can add some more seasoning to the marination as per your choice.
Do not cover the mushrooms while cooking as it will leave moisture.
